Andrew Jackson Middle School

Welcome!

AJ Middle School will NOT have school uniforms this year. We will have a unified dress code that parents and students will be made aware of prior to the start of school.

Attention 7th Grade Parents:

Please view the Immunization Requirements for the 2020-2021 school year.

All 7th graders are required to have their TDap regardless of which option you choose.

Due to the current situation with the Covid-19 virus, the district will be unable to provide transportation to Andrew Jackson Middle School or Andrew Jackson High school for the 2020-2021 school year for FOCUS students living outside of the Andrew Jackson attendance zone. Those students may continue to attend Andrew Jackson Middle and High as long as parents can provide adequate transportation. If parents can't provide transportation, they need to contact their zoned school of attendance to register. If you have any questions, please contact the Office of Safety and Transportation.

AJ Emergency Text Group

The safety department is signing parents up for the Remind app to be used to distribute emergency information about the Andrew Jackson area schools. This will allow us another emergency communication tool if we have a need to evacuate our buildings, have a natural disaster, or have a criminal act on or around school grounds that threatens the welfare of students and staff. The distribution of information to parents is vital in an emergency. Please use the link below to opt in to the text list. This is voluntary. Your numbers are not shared with us as a safety precaution for your privacy. -Bryan Vaughn, Safety Director, LCSD

The mission of Andrew Jackson Middle School and the community is to create productive life-long learners in, with, and through the arts.

"Art has the role in education of helping children become like themselves instead of more like everyone else." -Sydney Gurewitz Clemens
