Critical Information About End-of-Year Assessments

  • SC READY testing will be taking place on May 6, 8, 13 and 14 for grades 6, 7, and 8. These tests will assess students in writing, reading, and math. On May 16, 6th graders will also take a science exam.

  • Students will be tested in homerooms or small group or individual settings as determined by IEP, ILAP, or 504 Plans. Exams may run all morning up to student lunches.

  • Students are required to participate in all exams. Absent students will be placed on a make-up roster.

  • Please make every effort to get your student to school on time, fed, well-rested and with a fully charged chromebook.

  • Please avoid scheduling appointments on the days of these assessments.

  • During these exams, students cannot be in possession of any electronic device(s) that can be used for communication, recording, timing, creating and/or storing images. Students will be expected to place electronic devices such as cell phones and smart watches in their backpack. Backpacks will be placed in the hallways during testing.
